Little Lambs Nursery

Seth Goodson
I'm Ellie Deir, the director of Little Lambs Nursery School at Elim Gospel Church. I consider it a real honor to work with the children the Lord brings into our program. It brings me great joy to love these children and help them to grow and develop as the Lord has created them. Each one is so special and unique, truly a gift from God.

Why Little Lambs?

At Little Lambs we endeavor to help each child develop good habits in

  • Getting along with others
  • Solving problems
  • Learning and playing in a group
  • Helping themselves and others
  • Sharing with others
  • Assuming small responsibilities

We teach basic biblical principles like sharing, giving, helping and loving others. Obedience to teachers and parents is stressed. The program has been carefully planned to aid in the development of the "whole child."

A variety of activities are planned each day, such as

  • Crafts
  • Games
  • Stories
  • Music
  • Group discussion
  • Free play

We are concerned for your child as an individual, and we seek to work with you as parents in helping your child in his or her development.

Helpful Information

  • Children enjoy sharing fruit, crackers, etc. at snack time. Each child will bring a snack to share every 4 - 6 weeks. Apple juice is provided daily.
  • Parent - teacher conferences are planned in the fall and again in the spring. More conferences are welcomed if needed.
  • Please do not allow your child to bring personal toys, candy, gum, etc. to nursery school. Adequate playthings are provided.
  • The children enjoy sharing their birthdays with their friends. You may send cupcakes to be served at snack time. Please do not send sheet cakes or candles. Summer birth-days will be celebrated together in May.
  • Occasional field trips will be planned and parents will be notified in advance. Parents may be asked to assist with these trips.
